DKI Jakarta Inflation April 2020

Jakarta - Jakarta inflation in April 2020 was recorded at 0.29 percent. Inflation is due to price increases, especially in the food, beverage and tobacco group. Rising onion prices are the main cause of inflation. Inflation also occurred in seven other expenditure groups.

Three other expenditure groups did not change the index, namely the transportation group, the information group, communication, and financial services, and the education group.

Jakarta's inflation rate in 2020 (January-April) is 1.14 percent, above the inflation rate in the same period in the previous year. Likewise, year-on-year inflation (April 2020 to April 2019) was 3.10 percent, down significantly compared to the same period in the previous year which reached 3.37 percent.
