BRS Employment of Central Jakarta Municipality 2024

In August 2024, the labor force in Central Jakarta reached 545 thousand people, an increase of 9 thousand people compared to August 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) was recorded at 65.12 percent, rising by 1.14 percentage points from the same period last year.

The number of employed residents totaled 511.6 thousand people, up by 9 thousand people from August 2023. A notable increase was observed in the service sector, with an additional 500 workers in this field. Meanwhile, the proportion of informal workers decreased to 38.27 percent (195 thousand people), down by 2.28 percentage points compared to August 2023.

The Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) in Central Jakarta also showed improvement, declining by 0.18 percentage points to 6.24 percent in August 2024.
