Jakarta, June 17, 2025 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Central Jakarta City held a Special Survey Officer Training for the Study of Compiling Inventory Changes (SKSPPI) on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. This activity was carried out as an initial step in preparing field officers who will collect survey data using the CAPI (Computer Assisted Personal Interviewing) method.
SKSPPI is a special survey that aims to obtain data that supports the process of compiling inventory changes in various strategic sectors. This data is very important in providing a factual picture for national development planning and evaluation of government policies.
The training, which took place in the BPS hall of Central Jakarta City, was attended by field officers and supervisors who would go directly to the field. Mrs. Zuhaifah as a Young Expert Statistician and Head of the Balance and Region Team, in various events expressed her appreciation for the enthusiasm of the participants. "The implementation of SKSPPI requires officers who are careful, committed, and technology literate. Through this training, we want to ensure that all officers are ready to use the CAPI device properly and understand the substance of supervision," she said.
The materials presented include an introduction to the SKSPPI concept, the use of the CAPI application on Android, digital-based interview techniques, instrument filling procedures, and field simulations. The CAPI method was chosen because it can increase efficiency and accuracy in data collection, while minimizing entry errors.
The participants seemed enthusiastic about participating in the entire series of training, including direct practice sessions with the CAPI device. With this training, it is hoped that all officers can carry it out professionally and maintain the quality of the data collected.
The implementation of SKSPPI 2025 is expected to run smoothly and produce valid, reliable, and useful inventory data as a basis for formulating development policies.
