Abstract

Throughout February 2020, the BPS Provincy Jakarta recorded that Jakarta's export figures rose compared to the previous month, while Jakarta's imports declined. The increase in Jakarta's exports was driven by a surge in exports to Hong Kong, while the fall in Jakarta's imports was triggered by a decline in imports

goods from China.

Jakarta's export increases occurred in the ten main export destination countries, except exports to Thailand and China. The highest increase in exports occurred in Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore. Meanwhile, when viewed from the commodity, vehicles and parts still dominate Jakarta's exports with the highest increase in export value, even though the percentage of commodities experiencing the highest surge is patchwork.

In contrast to exports, Jakarta's imports dropped quite deeply. Imports of goods from the 10 main countries of origin were all decreased except imports from Singapore, while imports from China fell by 62.90%.
