Capital Consumer Optimism Increases in Quarter IV-2019

Abstract

In general, the people of DKI Jakarta think that their economic conditions in quarter IV-2019 are better than the previous quarter. This is indicated by the value of the Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) which reached 112.64.

· The increase in consumer optimism was driven by an increase in the current income index and consumption volume.

· The income index now reaches 116.97.

· The increase in income is in line with the increase in consumption volume with an index value of 115.55.

· Inflation is not very influential on consumer decisions in shopping, indicated by an index value above 100.

· Consumer Tendency Survey (STK) results also indicate that in quarter I-2020, consumers remain optimistic with an index value of 102.44, even though the degree of optimism has decreased compared to the previous quarter.
