Central Jakarta Statistics Agency (BPS) Promotes Digital Transformation Through Statistics
Central Jakarta, July 31, 2025 — In an effort to strengthen the sectoral data ecosystem and support evidence-based policymaking, the Central Jakarta Statistics Agency (BPS) held a Sectoral Statistics Development event with the theme "Quality Data, Accurate Policies: The Role of Statistics in Digital Transformation." The event took place at the Central Jakarta Mayor's Office and was attended by representatives of Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), vertical agencies, and other stakeholders.
The Secretary of the Central Jakarta City Administration, Denny Ramdany, officially opened the event. This event is part of the strategy to strengthen sectoral data coordination within the local government to support data- and information technology-based policies.
The Communications and Informatics Sub-agency presented material on the One Data Village (Sub-agency) initiative. BPS Central Jakarta then presented a presentation on strengthening sectoral statistical principles, the importance of metadata standardization, integrated data management, and the implementation of the One Data Indonesia principle. Discussions and technical sessions were also held to address the challenges of sectoral data management in the era of digital transformation.
Through this activity, BPS Central Jakarta affirmed its commitment to promoting quality and sustainable data governance, as the primary foundation for formulating accurate and targeted policies.
